Chỳng ta dựng so, too khi đồng ý với một ý kiến khẳng định . So và too cú nghĩa là cũng 
thế, cũng vậy. 
a. Đối với động từ TOBE: 
 So + be + subject 
 Subject + be, too 
Vớ dụ: He is tired. So am I/ I am, too. 
b. Đối với động từ thường ta dựng trợ động từ. Lưu ý cỏc động từ tỡnh thỏi cũng là trợ động 
từ. 
 So + auxiliary verbs + subject 
 Subject + auxiliary verbs, too 
Vớ dụ: They love their mother very much. So do we/ We do, too. 
2. Neither/ either. 
Chỳng ta dựng neither và either khi đồng ý với một ý kiến phủ định. Neither=not. 
either cú nghĩa là cũng khụng, cũng vậy. 
a. Đối với động từ TOBE: 
 Neither + be + subject 
 Subject + be, either. 
Vớ dụ: The pineapples aren’t ripe. Neither are bananas. 
b. Đối với động từ thường ta dựng trợ động từ. Lưu ý cỏc động từ tỡnh thỏi cũng là trợ động 
từ. 
 Neither + auxiliary verbs + subject 
 Subject + auxiliary verbs + not, either. 
Vớ dụ: I don’t like durians. Neither does Hoa/ Hoa doesn’t either. 
I can’t remember his name. Neither can I/ I can’t either. 
II. Imperative sentences (cõu mệnh lệnh) 
Cõu mệnh lệnh là loại cõu yờu cầu hay sai khiến ai làm điều gỡ đú. Mệnh lệnh thường nhắm 
đến người núi chuyện trực tiếp với người núi tức là ngụi thứ 2 số ớt hoặc số nhiều. Tuy 
nhiờn trong cõu mệnh lệnh chủ ngữ you được hiểu ngầm, do đú ta chỉ dựng động từ ở đầu 
cõu. 
a. Cõu mệnh lệnh khẳng định. 
Cõu mệnh lệnh khẳng định được thành lập băng cỏch lấy động từ nguyờn mẫu bỏ TO. 
Người ta cú thể thờm please cho lịch sự: 
Vớ dụ: close the door, please. 
Sit down, please. 
b. Cõu mệnh lệnh phủ định 
Cõu mệnh lệnh phủ định được thành lập bằng cỏch thờm don’t trước động từ nguyờn mẫu. 
Vớ dụ: Don’t talk in class. 
 Don’t be late.

B. THEORY: Adjectives and adverbs. 
1. Adjectives;Tớnh từ cú thể đứng một trong hai vị trớ: Một là thường đứng trước danh từ 
mà nú bổ nghĩa hoặc sau động từ to be va liờn kết như feel, seem, look, taste, smell, get, 
become, sound 
 Adj + Noun 
Ex: Mai is an intelligent student. 
 S+ be/ V (cảm giỏc)+Adj 
Ex: He looks unhappy 
 My house is small, but beautiful. 
2. Adverbs 
Cỏch thành lập trạng từ chỉ thể cỏch: 
+ Trạng từ chỉ thể cỏch được thành lập bằng cỏch thờm hậu tố ly vào sau tớnh từ. 
Ex: safe -> safely 
+ Cỏc tớnh từ tận cựng là “e” cõm ta bỏ “e” rồi thờm “ly”. 
Ex: possible-> possibly 
+ Một số tớnh từ và trạng từ giống nhau như: late, hard, early, fast
